Welcome to SAACID
Sharing help and hope
SAACID is Somalia’s oldest continuously operational indigenous non-governmental and
women organization. SAACID has continually operated in the anarchic context of Somalia
for more than 30 years now. SAACID is a not-for-profit, non-political, non-governmental
women’s organization (NGO) that has been dedicated to the empowerment of Somali
women, children and the poor.
SAACID has implemented a very significant portfolio of operational programmes. This has
not been gifted to SAACID. To get to where it is today, SAACID has had to work harder, and
probably perform better than other local or international NGOs or international agencies and
has had to provide consistent success for more than 30 years.
SAACID is a member of CHS Alliance
