Conflict Transformation and Governance
SAACID believes strongly that Conflict Transformation and Governance go hand-in-hand, and as such, has combined these two sectors into one. 

SAACID's initiatives in conflict transformation include, but are not limited to:

  • Demobilization, Disarmament, and Reintegration (DDR) programmes
  • Conflict resolution training
  • Governance training in leadership, management, participatory planning, participatory budgeting, and gender inclusiveness
  • Governance training in democracy, rule-of-law, federalism, good governance, and conflict resolution
  • Practical arbitration and conciliation
  • Conflict mitigation centres
  • Public infrastructure rehabilitations

SAACID's programme implementation methodology always involves working with and empowering local community leaders - whether for DDR, conflict resolution, or development programmes.
